The National Park Nahuelbuta is located in the Province of Malleco, IX Region, in the commune of Angol to the northwest of the city of the same name, in the highest sector of the mountain range of nahuelbuta. It has an extension of 6832 hectares.

Routes of access  

It has varied accesses to arrive at the national park:

  First of them from the city of Angol by the way to White Fertile valleys, they are 36 km of distance that are crossed in approximately one hour since first 22 km correspond to debris way and the rest corresponds to dirt road, the way in general this passable one from aims of the spring to the summer, the rest of the year is single apt for vehicles of double traction and using chains.

  Also it is possible to be acceded from the city of Cañete, Province of Araucan, the way divides in 40 km by the valley of Cayupil destiny to I found the Chacay and 18 km of dirt road, the time of trip are one hour and average.

  The other route is from Antihuala are 60 km by I found the Chacay, the way is in its totality of earth and the time of trip is of two hours.

Information to the tourist  

The Park counts on sectors of camping, sectors where to eat and excursion footpaths.

The sectors of Camping are:

Pehuenco: it counts on 11 sites which have table, furnace, water, 3 laundries and keys, like 3 double hygienic services.

Coimallín. It has 4 sites with table, furnace, and water.

Sectors of food:

It exists an area of food in Pehuenco, whatever with furnace, water and 7 white tables, without light, with parking, waste baskets.

Footpaths of excursion.

Footpath stone Aguil a: Extension of 4.5 km. in this footpath diverse classes can be appreciated of you hoist like ñirre, coique, rivets, araucaria and lenga, has been approximately 3 hours to cross it.

Footpath Anay Hill : Extension 5 km crosses beautiful landscapes and vegetacionales communities are delayed in crossing 3 hours.

Footpath The Arbol: extension 700 m.s Sendero of natural interpretation, homing guidance, cross forests of coigue, lenga and araucaria.

Footpath Cabrería Matting : Extension 1 km is crossed by the creek of the Poicoiquén river and the unit of araucaria of 800 ms of height is visited.
