NATIONAL RESERVE LAKE PEÑUELAS

The national Reserve is located in the V Region, Province and Commune of Valparaiso, has a surface of 9,260 hectares.

Routes of access  

The access entrance to the national Reserve is to the height of kilometer 87 of the Route 68 that unites to the City of Valparaiso and Santiago.

Information to the tourist  

The Reserve has fishing areas and Picnic, which properly are indicated in the entrance to the Reserve. It is recommended to follow the instructions not to damage the surroundings.

At the moment 6 areas for picnic in the denominated area of Fishing exist, that has the independent entrance to the height of km 96 of route 68. These areas are the Chercanes, the Chincoles, the Hualas, the Ducks, the Perdices and the Quails. Each one of them has an average of 3 sites of picnic with table - bank and waste basket. The different areas from picnic are distributed throughout 5 km in the zone of fishing and this one is located as well to 2 or 3 km of the administrative seat. In addition North Shore exists another area of called fishing (Administration - Huacho Pine - Step the Old one) whose access is by the administrative seat and in which merienda can only be consumed it fries.
