It is located in the cordillerana zone of IX the Region in the skirts of
Lonquimay Volcano, to 1,400 meters of altitude above sea level near the city of
Temuco, to 128 kilometers of distance. Surrounded by a beautiful native forest,
made up of lengas, araucarias, coihues, trees that are own of the zone, which
does of skiing in its slopes somewhat unforgettable. In addition, the location
of their fields causes that the quality of the snow is one of the best ones of
the zone. On the other hand, the sector of Sandy grounds (where is the center of
esqui ') allows to develop not only the ski, but also the photography, the
excursions, the parapente, and many other own activities of the winter.
Routes of access
In order to arrive at the ski center one is due to cross 128 kilometers from
Temuco, passing by the localities of Curacautín and Malalcahuello, being of this
last locality near the deflection, the way from is there of debris by
approximately 10 kilometers to arriving.
